Vintage 1950s Italian Capodimonte Reticulated Footed Bowl 3D Roses 5.5"

Mid-Century Italian Capodimonte-Style Reticulated Double-Handled Footed Bowl

Enjoy for yourself some romantic elegance to your display case with this exquisite 1950s Italian ceramic footed bowl. Lovingly handmade in the celebrated Capodimonte style of northern Italy (Bassano/Nove regions), this individual piece is a masterclass in classic postwar Italian craftsmanship.

This piece features an intricate intersecting diamond-woven reticulated rim flanked by two beautifully molded green leaf handles. The front and back profiles are adorned with hand-modeled, three-dimensional applied burgundy-tipped garden roses nestled in detailed green foliage.

Despite its compact footprint, it features a heavy, dense clay wall cast specifically to support the weight of its heavy dimensional floral work. The interior glaze opens up to reveal a beautifully hand-painted pink rose medallion flanked by delicate blue forget-me-not sprays.
